Born in Catford, Kent. He later studied at the Birmingham Central School of Arts & Crafts. After this he became a part-time teacher at Bournville Scool of Art & Wolverhampton School of Arts & Crafts. He exhibited at Birmingham, Liverpool, Royal College of Art, Royal Institute of Oil Painters & elsewhere.
