Colin Graeme (fl. 1858-1910)

A painter of animal subjects, particularly horses and dogs, who was born in Argyle, Scotland, and later moved to the Sheffield area. He is thought to be the brother of Clarence Henry Roe and Robert Ernest Roe and a son of artist Robert Henry Roe. His early work is signed Colin Graeme Roe but he is believed to have fallen out with his family and thereafter ceased to use the family name
