Painted portraits, shipping, interiors & coastal subjects. Born in Nottingham, lived in Staithes, yorkshire; in Holland, Newlyn, Cornwall & finally in Colwall, Hertfordshire. Studied at the Nottingham School of Art, at the RCA, and in Paris under Laurens & Constant. Exhibited 10 works at the RA, 1896-1904.
