Samuel Edward Kelly (1862-1935)

He was a painter in watercolour & sometimes oil of coastal scenes, who lived & worked around Torquay, Devon. This artist’s work is not often seen on the market but the quality & pleasing subject matter would make the pictures collectable. One of his most popular subjects was Babbacombe Bay, Devon. He also painted bay scenes in oil on pottery dishes & these were probably made for the tourist market.
