He was a genre & portrait artist; son of landscape artist Edmund Snr & nephew of William Havell.
He lived in Reading from 1835-42, & also in London.
He exhibited at the Royal Academy , 1835-95; British Institution; Suffolk Street; he also visited America & exhibited in Philidelphia.
