A prolific topographical, genre & coastal painter who taught drawing at the RMA, Woolwich between 1841-70. He exhibited from 1829 & joined the NWS in 1834 when he was living in Pentonville. He often used a combination of chalk & watercolour in the manor of Henry Bright. Examples in the British Museum; Ashmolean & elsewhere.
