He was a French painter & teacher in oil & watercolour of rustic scenes in the manner of Berchem. He painted in Worcester, Berkshire, Devon & Wilton. He was a friend of Ibbetson & probably an assistant of George Morland. Examples in British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Fitzwilliam, London Museum, etc.
