After school he trained & qualified as an engineer, a career that involved him in many design & research projects at home & abroad. He moved to Dorset in 1969. He has always been interested in the sea & ships, and painted as a hobby which led him to be a professional artist.
Specialising in maritime subjects he also portrays landscapes in their various moods & seasons.
He has had many one-man shows in the UK & several of his works are now in print. He is an artist member of the Fine Art Trade Guild.
