He was generally known as Tom Lloyd, he was a talented watercolour painter of landscape, genre and marine subjects. He lived in London and then at Walmer Beach and Yapton, Sussex. He drew much of his inspiration from the idyllic English countryside and painted idealised scenes from rural life.
