He was a landscape painter in oils & watercolours. He painted views in England, France, Italy & Switzerland, he was especially fond of the Pyrenees. Works by him are Victoria & Albert Museum, Sheffield & Sunderland Art Galleries. H exhibited at the Royal Academy 1835-53, British Institute, Suffolk Street, New Watercolour Society & elsewhere.
