He was a Landscape painter based in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire. He exhibited 2 pieces at the British Institution& one at the Royal Academy. He also exhibited at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
He worked almost exclusively in oil paint, and favoured winter scenes.
